Common questions

How do I pin a countdown to my menu bar?

On the Countdown (or Count-up) page, tap the small pin icon on any event card. Only one event can be pinned at a time — pinning a new one automatically unpins the previous.

I closed the main window and the app disappeared from the Dock.

That's intentional. When a countdown is pinned to your menu bar, closing the main window switches Flipy into a menu-bar–only mode (the Dock icon hides). To bring the window back, click the menu bar item and choose Open Flipy, or relaunch Flipy from Spotlight / Finder.

When no event is pinned, closing the main window quits Flipy completely — there's nothing for it to do in the background.

Can I change the unit (days / hours / minutes) on a countdown?

Yes — every countdown has its own display unit. Open the event's detail view and pick from Days, Hours, Minutes, or Seconds. You can switch between them freely as the target gets closer.

Where is my data stored? Does anything leave my Mac?

Nothing leaves your Mac. All countdowns, count-ups, settings, and any background image you set live entirely inside Flipy's macOS sandbox container. See the Privacy Policy for the exact paths.

I want a feature that isn't here yet.

Please email — Flipy Clock's roadmap is shaped substantially by what users ask for. Even a one-line "I wish it could ___" is useful.
